Refund Policy

Introduction

Birthing Moses LLC ("we," "our," "us") is committed to ensuring quality and transparency. Thank you for choosing our doula services. We are committed to providing you with the highest level of support and care throughout your pregnancy, labor, and postpartum journey. In order to ensure transparency and set clear expectations, we have established the following refund policy. We reserve the right to decline services to any party due to abuse of staff members in any verbal or physical manner without refund of payment.

1. Non-Refundable Deposit

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. This deposit is typically 20-30% of the total package price and is due at the time of booking. The deposit is non-refundable due to the commitment of reserving your doula’s time for your due date, preparation, and the personalized care provided.

2. Cancellations Before 36 Weeks of Pregnancy

If you decide to cancel our services before the 36th week of your pregnancy, we will refund the balance of the payment for the birth session, excluding the non-refundable deposit. You will receive a refund within 14 days of cancellation. All prenatal visits or additional services will not be refunded.

3. Cancellations After 36 Weeks of Pregnancy

If you cancel after reaching the 36th week of pregnancy, we are unable to offer a refund due to the final stages of preparation and commitment of time. In this case, the total amount paid will be retained.

4. Early Births / Preterm Labor

In the case of early labor or preterm birth, we will make every effort to attend your birth. However, if we are unable to attend due to circumstances beyond our control (such as arriving after the birth or an unexpected birth timeline), no refund will be provided. We may, however, offer a partial refund or rescheduling options if we are unable to provide the agreed-upon services due to unforeseen circumstances.

5. Doula Service Availability

If we are unable to provide services for your birth due to personal emergencies or personal circumstances, we will make every effort to find a suitable replacement doula for you at no additional cost. If a replacement doula is not available, you will be entitled to a full refund of the birth portion of your contract, excluding the non-refundable deposit and prenatal appointment fees.

6. Postpartum Services

For postpartum doula services, cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled visit will not be refunded. If the postpartum doula visit is rescheduled with more than 48 hours' notice, we will accommodate you in rescheduling without penalty.

7. Payment Plans

If you are on a payment plan and decide to cancel services, payments made to date (excluding the non-refundable deposit) will be refunded in accordance with our cancellation terms, as described above. Any unpaid balances will not be due once cancellation occurs.

8. Special Circumstances

In cases of special circumstances, such as financial hardship or unforeseen personal circumstances, we are happy to discuss flexible options and work with you to find an appropriate solution. Please reach out directly to discuss any concerns you may have.

9. Changes to the Service Agreement

Any changes to the scope of services or package upgrades/downgrades are subject to the terms of the agreement and may affect your final balance. Please inform us of any changes as soon as possible to ensure we can accommodate your needs.

10. Classes refund policy

Due to the nature of classes we do not offer refunds for any missed classes for any circumstance. We do understand that life happens and sometimes you may not be able to come on the original scheduled class so we do offer the funds to be used for any of our classes at a different date. This transference is allowed up to one time per person.

10. Acknowledgement

By booking our services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this refund policy. We encourage you to reach out with any questions or concerns before securing your booking.
